Its super smart part of us, but we need to remember that our brains don't have eyes and don't have ears, the brain is predicting what is happening from the messages we send it.
In the case of the 'Surstromming Challenge,' depending on the messages we send our brain and nervous system, our body can start to react like we are faced by the real threat of putting the fermenting heron's inside our body. Surely, nothing that smells that bad is safe!
