I designed and built this ultra-high vacuum system during my study of a master degree in Materials Science and Engineering at National Taiwan University from 2014-2016.
It equipped with a Ni and C evaporators, rapid thermal annealing system(~950 degree), and a mass flow controller. The main purpose of this machine is to synthesize graphene on various nickel silicide substrates (such as Ni2Si, NiSi, NiSi2) via CVD(chemical vapor deposition) method under ultra-high vacuum environment with the base pressure at 1E-8 Torr.
