Walter Travis would surely be proud to see how his Hollywood Golf Course has evolved. Thanks to the recent restoration work carried out by Brian Schneider from Renaissance Golf Design, this course boasts some of the finest hazards and greens you'll find on any inland course. Travis's clever design, combined with the relatively gentle terrain and his strategic placement of greens in close proximity to tees, makes this course a walking golfer's paradise. The man-made features, such as the greens and bunkers, add unique characteristics to the course. Some of these bunker formations are like deep pits, demanding a solid stance and a controlled swing – just as it should be. After all, hazards are meant to be challenging! While the par-3 4th and 12th holes are the course's most famous, any exploration of Travis's genius would be incomplete without a close look at the intricate green complexes of the 6th, 7th, 9th, and 16th holes. Needless to say, we're incredibly excited to take you "Inside the Gates" at this New Jersey hidden gem golf course.
