Chief Tory whip Julian Smith says softer Brexit was 'inevitable' after 2017 elections

Speaking in a BBC documentary, the Tory chief whip was also critical of the cabinet's behaviour, labelling it "the worst example of ill-discipline in cabinet in British political history".
