Ray Carnes, Co-Founder and Co-Owner of REC TEC Grills, starts off the Funday Friday series with an American grilling classic. Burgers for a backyard BBQ are grilled perfectly on a REC TEC!
Ray preps mushrooms for a Mushroom & Swiss burger. Our mushroom sauce was prepared in a cast iron pan and placed on grill set to full.
Jody also prepares his own style of burger. We dubbed this creation the "Jody Burger." Some of the ingredients include apricot pepper jelly, applewood smoked bacon, and jalapeño cream cheese.
Ray and Jody also make a Takin' Care of Business (TCB) burger. The TCB has fried plantains, peanut butter, applewood smoked bacon, and honey!
We put the RT-680 on 565ºF to smoke our burgers. We used our REC TEC signature brisket rub to season all patties.
When the burgers are done there is nothing left to do other than the add the toppings and dig in.
