According to the meteorological department, the effects of the cold are being felt intensely in several states of North India this Monday morning, January 19th. Some districts of Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh are experiencing cloudy skies and light to moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, a cold wave and dense fog have disrupted daily life in Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The prevailing cold day conditions mean that biting cold is being felt even during the day. ​​Frost is also expected in several areas during the morning hours.
आज से नया सप्ताह शुरू हो गया है और इसके साथ ही मौसम ने भी अपना रुख बदल लिया है. मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक सोमवार 19 जनवरी की सुबह उत्तर भारत के कई राज्यों में ठंड का असर तेज नजर आ रहा है. हरियाणा पंजाब और उत्तर प्रदेश के कुछ जिलों में बादल छाए हुए हैं और कहीं कहीं हल्की से मध्यम बारिश हो रही है. वहीं दिल्ली एनसीआर राजस्थान बिहार मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ में शीतलहर और भीषण कोहरे ने आम जनजीवन को प्रभावित कर दिया है. कोल्ड डे जैसी स्थिति बनने से दिन में भी कड़ाके की ठंड महसूस हो रही है. कई इलाकों में सुबह के वक्त पाला गिरने की संभावना जताई गई है.
