In this experiment, I transmit a real IEEE 802.15.4 (ZigBee) frame over the air using PlutoSDR in full-duplex mode controlled via SDRangel, and successfully receive the same signal on a different laptop using RTL-SDR.
This demo proves true over-air ZigBee communication using Software Defined Radio, without any commercial ZigBee modules. The receiving system independently captures and visualizes the signal, validating timing, frequency alignment, and modulation integrity.

• PlutoSDR (TX – Full Duplex)
• SDRangel (ZigBee frame transmission)
• RTL-SDR (RX on separate laptop)
• Over-air RF link (IEEE 802.15.4)
