Second Coat
25 parts Soil (8% clay)
8 parts rice husk (You can also chop straw and use it)
3 parts lime
Myrobalan/alale- jaggery water ( • How to increase the binding strength and d... )
Note:
-- First chisel the wall for any irregularities.
-- Always wet the wall before plastering.
-- As we increase the number of layers that we plaster, the plastering coats needs to get thinner.
-- A trowel and float is used to even out the thicker patches over the wall.
-- If cracks appear, either too much clay content is present in soil or excess water is used. Major cracks mean the plaster is hollow and needs to be redone, minor cracks can be rectified by either adding a finishing coat plaster else by just hammering with a wooden hammer.
Happy Building :)
