We are here to compare the two late game items:
Demonic Hunter Sword and Malefic Roar
Why do we say late game?
To fully maximize Demon Hunter Sword's damage, the target should have a large amount of HP.
Malefic Roar on the other hand is more effective against targets with high armor.
Getting these items early in the game is not advisable.
We'll test both items on Tigreal wearing Bloodthirsty King and Blade Armor.
Malefic Roar
Basic attack damage: 193 X 3 = 579
Demon Hunter Sword
Basic attack damage: 137 x 3 = 411
Unique passive: 343 + 324 + 305 = 972
Total = 1383
In three attacks:
Malefic Roar's damage is 579
Demon Hunter Sword's damage is 1383
Remember that Demon Hunter Sword's damage decrease as you lower the HP of the target.
Let's see the damage when the HP remaining is about 1/3.
137 + 126
137 + 115
137 + 105

411 + 346 = 757
Demon Hunter Sword (low hp) = 1383
Malefic Roar = 579
Demon Hunter Sword still had the upper hand even with the low HP.
Demon Hunter Sword is a tank killer because the damage is percentage based.
The higher the HP the bigger the damage.
