Many Pharisees and Scribes in Jesus’ day spent their time trying to figure out where the line was. In other words what was sin and what wasn’t? 2,000 years later, not much has changed and many believers spend their time focused on where the line of sin is in their life rather than focusing on the abundant life that Jesus offers. As we continue reading the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches that he came to fulfill the law, yes, but also that our focus may be in the wrong place.
