Find and use a diving location in the Bitter Cold

►Mastery (Optional):
Glider Basics (Gliding)
Thermal Propulsion (Ancient Magics)

Remember to get the Cold Resistance buff before you go to The Bitter Cold area!

I'm not sure if it's a bug but the first time I jumped in; when the diving hole was closed and covered with ice, I died cracking the ice. However, I managed to come back really fast and the diving hole was still open, so I quickly jumped in and got the diving title. It might be a good idea to bring a friend with you; to either jump in first and crack the ice; or to rez you if you die; OR just bring a Revive Orb with you.

►COLD RESISTANCE BUFF (temp solution)
Replay the episode until Elixir Recipe.
Do the necessary to get the ingredients. I found out that you MUST complete the Elixir Recipe story. This allowed me to buy the Grawl Firestone from Sun Warming. I also bought more than 1 Grawl Firestone so I can keep making the Thaw Elixir while waiting for Anet to fix this bug!
I also noticed that for some reason, players who complete the whole episode (like myself) cannot access the Grawl Firestone vendor after that. So don’t complete it again! :P
Not an ideal solution but I hope this helps for now
