My 2026 Challenge walk for The Wainwright Society. This walk is from Rosthwaite in Borrowdale, in the Lake District, to the pass of Greenup Edge, part of Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk.
The Coast-to-Coast Walk is becoming a recognised National Trail in 2026 so the Society is setting it's annual Challenge for one of it's member to walk each section of the Trail, and in doing so, raise money for the Mountain Rescue teams that give coverage along the length of the walk.
I didn't choose the best day to do this!
