HO Scale: Meeting Day at the Club (pt. 1)

Saturday the 6th of January was the first meeting of 2018, and I went in not exactly knowing what I wanted to film that day, so I just kinda went with the flow. Our meetings normally start around 1pm, but guys start showing up at the club around 9am, where as I usually get there around 10. Before the meeting starts, guys are there running trains, working on the layout, chatting each other up, testing new models, and whatever else you can think of. Then we normally break for lunch around Noon, and are ready for the meeting at 1.

In this video, it's basically whatever I could film before and after the meeting. Ended up being over 30 minutes, so I split the video into two parts. This time around, you'll see equipment running that I don't typically include, simply because of the "format" of club videos I produce. When I'm doing an Ops Session, I'm trying to keep it as prototypical as I can. With my Sessions set in the modern day, many times being guided by a story/theme/concept/vague idea/or whatever you call it, having a random steam era train, or a 60s era passenger train, or whatever out of era train you can think of rolling by the camera sometimes can take you "out of the moment." So I don't include them in the final video.

This time however, I didn't care what was out on the layout running, I just wanted to film whatever I could, so in this two part set you'll see things I wouldn't typically include in a finished video. Also included some footage from the staging yards, so again, areas of the layout I don't normally film. Anyway, that's pretty much it for this video. Part two will be next Sunday, so be on the look out for that.
