1) SIMPLE AVERAGE (Arithmetic Mean)

General Formula (for n items):
Simple Average = (x1 + x2 + x3 + … + xn) / n

Example:
Marks = 80, 90, 70
(80 + 90 + 70) / 3 = 80

2) WEIGHTED AVERAGE (When values have different importance)

General Formula (for n items):
Weighted Average = (x1w1 + x2w2 + x3w3 + … + xnwn) / (w1 + w2 + w3 + … + wn)

Example:
Math = 90 (Weight = 4)
English = 80 (Weight = 2)
(90 * 4 + 80 * 2) / (4 + 2) = 86.67
