Glare TKL (PC full) | Cherry MX Purple | SW WoB

Описание: I don’t get why some people say the Glare TKL doesn’t sound as good as the F1. It literally has a different mounting style. Sure I’d pick the F1 over any board, but that doesn’t mean the Glare TKL isn’t solid. I actually love its sound profile. It’s not your typical top mount, and I think the huge brass weight has a lot to do with that. Imagine if it had a full brass bottom.

I don’t mind the force break mod either. Tbh, I think it’s almost always essential for top mount boards. My only gripe is the aggressive 11 degree typing angle, since I’m so used to the F1s. I first built it with a PC half plate and MX Blacks    • Glare TKL (PC half plate) | Cherry MX Blac...   and it sounded amazing. This time, I’m running a full PC plate with MX2A Purples. In my short video    • No Geon Trimmer? No problem 🫡  , I used a metal artisan keycap to trim the stem of the Purples (would still recommend Geon Trimmer https://divinikey.com/products/geon-t.... It worked but it shaved down the stem too much. The fit was loose on GMK and DCS caps which was a bummer. That’s why I grabbed this Swagkeys set. Their caps have tighter tolerances. Plus, this set is full ABS unlike their other ABS+PBT blends. For the price, it’s a great deal. I still prefer GMK but this set is my fix for the loose stems on MX Purples.
