“Target was observed to enter assigned dwelling at 1800 hours after a brief exchange with neighbor. Interactions were observed to be within acceptable levels. Target interacted with their assigned partner shortly after entering the dwelling. Minimal weaving resulted in expected outcomes: reduced mood and exhaustion. Previous awakening risks should subside. Further observation is advised. No DMO utilized. Mist levels were measured and confirmed later in report.”

Hey folks!

Today’s track is Happyville, another piece from the official City of Mist: Local Legends soundtrack. On the surface, Happyville is all white picket fences, lemonade stands, and suburban smiles, but beneath the pristine veneer lies surveillance, denial, and a dangerous secret.

Musically, this one is as strange as the district itself. Weird, atonal synths echo like the listening devices of the Gatekeepers, while hazy, reverb-drenched doo wop samples give the track an unsettling, artificial nostalgia. The result is eerie, uncanny, and perhaps a little tricky to use outside of his location... but that’s what the alternate version is for!

Alternate Track

Ambient Memories: A more restrained take where the doo wop fragments are just faint echoes in the distance. The drums become more of a low drone, leaving behind a more ambient, flexible version that still carries a strange, surreal mood.
