In this vlog, I take you on an unforgettable 2 Days 1 Night trek from Kathmandu, to Ama Yangri Peak, one of the most scenic and accessible short treks near the Capital!


Route Covered:

Start from Kathmandu
Trek through Jarsing Pauwa & lush rhododendron forests
Reach the majestic Ama Yangri Peak (approx. 3,770 m), a breathtaking viewpoint with panoramic Himalayan views

This trek is perfect for a weekend escape or a quick Himalayan adventure without spending days on the trail.

We crossed peaceful Sherpa and Hyolmo villages, enjoyed local hospitality in teahouses, and soaked up stunning views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Jugal Himal and even glimpses of distant peaks on clear days.

Itinerary:

Day 1:
Early departure from Kathmandu via Sankh, trek from Tarkeyghyang uphill through forest trails
Arrive at basecamp ,stay, dinner, and bonfire vibes

Day 2:
Early sunrise trek to Ama Yangri Peak from Ama Yangri Base camp by 4 am
Descend back to base & trek to Tarkeyghyang and drive back to Kathmand
