Topi-cal tips to be a topi: for males, find a mound, mark it with your dung and stand imposingly on it; for a female, gather round and gaze adoringly at best male you can find (and maybe try to stop other females from mating with him). These topi, or nyamera, Damaliscus lunatus jimela are in Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda. Note the freshly showered coat - their socialising was just interrupted by a heavy downpour; topi are a striking antelope with the almost purple hue and oddly shaped elongated muzzle.
