In Ibn Arabi’s metaphysics, the Perfect Man (al-Insān al-Kāmil) is said to have epistemic access to all realities in God's Knowledge. If that is the case, does humanity still need prophets to guide them to reach the truth? To help you with the answer: Think about this: Is there any gradation among Perfect Men—can one be higher than another? And if so, does this hierarchy provide an answer to the initial question about the necessity of prophetic guidance?!
IMPORTANTLY: There are many ways to support prophethood in Ibn Arabis perspective; however, my question is from a specific angle, and its answer should be from this angle alone: Perfect Man knows ALL Names, and thus the knowledge of all created beings in God's Knowledge. If the human being can know everything, why the need for a prophet? Look at the matter from this lens, and the answer will present itself!
Hint: the answer is in chapter one of the Fusus al-Hikam; partly in relation to his discussion of the intellect, and partly that of "veils."
Clearly, the answer is: it does! In fact, the entire Fusus al-Hikam is built around Prophets. But the real question here is: why do we need them? These questions are meant to guide the audience toward that answer. So, when exactly does our need for Prophets begin?
