The Matchbox BMW 5-Series went through very few design changes during its five years of production. It started out in black, before switching to white with racing decals of varying quantity (and quality), with a rare red version somewhere in between. The one I have came after a number of sponsors were removed, and so aside from some colourful markings, it lacked any enhancement from tampos to the grille or anywhere else for that matter. This then was a prime candidate for a custom job, or improvement as I like to see it. I tested out some new Tamiya metallic paint, the TS-83 Metallic Silver in this instance, and paired it to a new set of wheels. And of course, I layered on plenty of Citadel and detailed the really rather good quality casting.
