Описание: Ben McCorkle is part of a group that is currently curating an ongoing collection that serves as a living history of literacy. It's known as The Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives (DALN). It’s an archive that contains many voices, different points of view, and a variety of ways into our reading of others’ personal past. His talk will describe this archive and illustrate the importance of protecting these stories for future generations. Ben McCorkle is an Associate Professor of English at OSU Marion and teaches a variety of classes in subjects ranging from academic writing to digital media to literary publishing. He is also the Co-Director of the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives (DALN), an online collection of personal accounts of people learning to read and write.
