Firstly, thank you so much for all of your support regarding this incident. It really does mean a lot to me. I made this mistake out of frustration, and yes I completely regret it. However, the key word here is 'mistake' - I'm not perfect, and I admit that this was a very stupid decision for me to make. Taking accountability and moving on is all I can do at this point. No, this does not mean my career, channel, or friendships will crumble - I am fortunate to be surrounded by some amazing friends and subscribers who understand that mistakes happen (especially something as miniscule as downloading and using a program for 2 minutes on a block game).

Secondly - I think 'intention' is important here. Whereas others may use unfair modifications to gain actual advantages over others, boost their stats, or use it in harmful ways, I personally believe mine was the opposite. Genuinely, the only reason I ever play duels is to record videos (I don't enjoy it otherwise). I couldn't care less about stats on my main account, or grinding wins - I just wanted to get a video done. For this reason, when attempting to record a video and having to spend weeks re-recording it due to the fact that someone could end my attempt with the simple download of a client, I eventually gave in and 'joined' them. This was not a matter of thinking I could "get away with it because I'm a youtuber" or anything of the sort; I just simply was tired of forcing myself to play duels and preferred to just get the video over with than continue trying to do it legitimately.

Think of it this way: imagine a game you used to really enjoy, whether it's pokemon, runescape, fortnite, whatever it may be. Now imagine your enjoyment for the game has dropped off, and you only play it because others want you to make videos on it. When attempting to record one of these videos, however, you realize that the game is now infested with some exploit, bug, or cheat that makes it impossible for you to beat other players. Naturally, when you still enjoyed the game, you likely wouldn't dare to do anything of the sort, as you still value your ability to log on. Years later, however, you don't care as much about getting banned or playing the game, as you already don't play in the first place - thus making it more likely for you to just join the bandwagon of users with this unfair advantage, as getting "banned" doesn't mean much to you anymore.

Finally, for those of you saying "regardless of your intentions, you still contributed to the problem and would have ruined the game for legit players", I disagree. As mentioned in my first video, I only ever lost to cheaters (this isn't trying to be boastful, just honest), so it's not like I would be 'ruining' a legit player's game; they would have lost regardless of how I was playing. The only thing that changed is the fact that I gave myself a way to defend myself against the plethora of cheaters in the duels community. Think of it this way: I wasn't trying to give myself an unfair advantage, but rather I was trying to eliminate the unfair advantage that other players had against me. Without a stats-mod or client, it's essentially impossible to reach high winstreaks without grinding all day every day and becoming one of the best in the world - this is something I was not willing to do, as you've all seen how busy my schedule was.
