This game seems to be some sort of a sequel to Silkworm, sooooo, it seemed like an appropriate next longplay.

I started out getting the "star" weapon because I wanted to get through this game as easy as possible, but decided to kill myself at 08:36 as I changed my mind and wanted to show the other weapon powerup thingy as well. There are probably 3 different weapon styles - star, spread (which I'm using after star) and a more focused one where all missiles are in one group going forward without spread. This game was soooo much harder than Silkworm.
I tried picking the star weapon again after I already had it, to see if it maybe upgraded, as none of the other icons did any change to it, but it couldn't get upgraded further.
When I first took the star weapon, I noticed everything on the screen died, so I had this idea to use it on a boss, so I did that at 23:57 and it worked Pfft, but that of course gave me the weapon again, meh. Sure, the star weapon is the best, but I prefer the one I had. I didn't realize until after the game was done that I would get temporarily invulnerable when picking up any of the icons, meh, could have used this on bosses and stuff, like the annoying one at 31:30. Should have juggled a couple of icons to him and used them to get a very nice head start on the damage done to him by just sitting on him while shooing.
All of a sudden at 28:46, all missiles became white-ish. I thought maybe it was a graphics glitch that sometimes happens when using save states in WinUAE, but I checked an old longplay someone else had done of this game and it happened there as well. So, I guess it's supposed to change like that as it happens roughly at the time you enter and leave the ice area, probably so we can more easily see the projectiles.
The frame rate/game speed was getting quite slow and jerky in some situations because too much was going on at the same time, so the standard A500 speed I was using wasn't enough anymore so I upped it. -
