HIGHLIGHT of Putin's keynote speech at 2025 Valdai Discussion Club meeting

Описание: Speaking at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed any notion of Russian aggression against NATO.

Europe's leaders are 'whipping up hysteria' over a potential war with Russia, the president said, warning Europe against "growing militarization".

The prospect of the US supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles wouldn't "change the balance of power on the battlefield," but "will mark a completely new, qualitatively new stage of escalation," Putin said.

The Valdai Discussion Club is a Moscow-based think tank and discussion forum. It was established in 2004 and is named after Lake Valdai, which is located close to Veliky Novgorod, where the Club’s first meeting took place.
