It's the calm before the storm as in a couple of weeks I take on THE WALL with RAT RACE! a 70-mile adventure from Carlisle to Newcastle along Hadrian's Wall.
However that doesn't mean there isn't fun to be had closer to home in the lead up to it and with that in mind... I headed along to the Penshaw Hill Race with Sunderland Harriers. As 5km routes go, this one is HILLY to put it politely! It's a great course though and Penshaw Monument is always a delight to visit!
