Sometimes at the holidays, we don't get a break in the weather in the Northeast, so a great company, called Glow Gardens headquartered in British Columbia, Canada comes to the rescue. Since 2022, Hartford has housed GLOW in the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford.
For $24 to $34 depending on your age, you can spend the afternoon in a fairy tale land of over 1,000,000 lights. There are interactive displays, holiday vendors, drinks, food, and even sometimes karaoke. Fun characters appear from time to time, while you can always get a free picture with Santa. There's a playground, the GLOWcomotive train, and so much more. I don't care who you are, you'll have fun. And no, this isn't a paid commercial. I just really liked it.
So as we end the year, I hope you'll remember GLOW for next year's holiday season.
