CEU's Re-thinking Open Society project involves a series of President's Seminars and Lectures, bringing leading thinkers to CEU to examine open society, its history, its achievements and failures, and its future prospects in a political environment that challenges its ideals. It is an effort to subject the ideals of open society to unsparing scrutiny, and answer some of the fundamental questions of our time.
This video features the first three speakers in the series: CEU President and Rector Michael Ignatieff, Professor Mark Lilla of Columbia University, and Professor Dorothee Bohle of European University Institute and CEU.
