Pasta alle VONGOLE | Bart's Fish Tales

Описание: Pasta Vongole! How often do you see it on the menu, and not only in Italian restaurants. Today I’m fishing on the incredible Venetian ‘Laguna’ in Italy with the fishermen Ettore and Francesco. The bottom of this lagoon is full of vongole veraci, also known as carpet shell clams. Francesco is scooping the clams from the lagoon’s bed with a special basket on a pole, he than washes them by shaking the basket. This is a really sustainable way of fishing for clams.

We’re heading to an amazing island in the middle of the lagoon where I’m going to cook a delicious classic spaghetti alle vongole! There is no way you can get clams any fresher than this. The juicy, almost sweet meat of the vongole goes really well together with the pasta and the simple sauce. You can make this dish within 15 minutes at home, so give it a try!
