This is my first train route visual on the world’s longest subway system: Shanghai Metro! I had to take Line 11 to get to the city center, and the journey was very long because this is the world’s longest single subway line with a distance of 82.4km! It literally took an hour to get from my house at Anting to Xujiahui to transfer lines though it is only 19 stations! Unlike in Singapore, it only requires half an hour to 45 minutes to travel from my house to the city by MRT. This line also connects to Disneyland Resorts and Huaqiao station will be an interchange with the new Suzhou Rail Transit Line 11 which connects to Suzhou from 28 June 2023 onwards. This means that if you are in Suzhou, you take both Lines 11 of both systems to get to Shanghai Disneyland Resort, though it will take at least 3 hours to do so.

The set that I boarded was a CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive (Previously CSR Zhuzhou) and it happened to be the FIRST set for the FIRST generation trains of Line 11! What a catch! Also the motor was very strong for some reason and is sort of a combination of the motors of Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 and Siemens C651 in Singapore, which was quite cool. The ride was also very loud with a lot of tight turns and track crossings, similar to the Tuas West Extension of the MRT East West Line. Hopefully, I get to return to Shanghai and take Line 11 again but fully to Disneyland Resorts.
