In this video I talk openly about my depression—what it feels like, how I deal with it, and why I’ve chosen not to take the medication I was prescribed. This isn’t about asking for sympathy. I’m sharing my experience so that anyone going through something similar knows they’re not alone.
As artists, our emotional spectrum is part of how we see the world. I’ve always been afraid that medication might numb that, but I also know that everyone’s path is different and there’s no right or wrong way to seek help.
If you’re struggling too, I hope this gives you a little comfort, or at least a moment where you feel understood. We’re all carrying something, and I’m with you.
