You’ve redecorated. I don’t like it. Well to be fair, sometimes I do like a good old TARDIS renovation. When they work, they’re a great way to spruce some new life into the Doctor’s oldest companion. I’m not going to be clever this week. I like TARDIS interiors and I want an excuse to talk about them...
It isn’t just impeccable artistic design realised masterfully by a fantastic production team. It’s the way these interiors are used within scenes - how the geography and space is utilised to create powerful feelings in crucial scenes.
I also like to think about the relationship between the tardis and the doctor, as well as the interior place in the chronology. So if there’s something I think changed the game for how you shoot and design the interior to the tardis, and the subsequent design goes a step back on that, I will be marking it down.
