"No foreign investor need to fear anything from investing in India. India is a country where the rule of law prevails. There is a well-established justice delivery system. There is a well-established dispute resolution system. India has never and I repeat, never (inaudible) on its contractual obligations. If a mistake is made, there is a well-functioning, well-established dispute resolution system. No foreign investor need fear anything in India. In fact, he must look upon India as a great opportunity to do business."

"The concern is about the pace of liberalisation. The concern is about the adequacy of regulatory regime. The concern is about apprehended shifts and policy. These are routine concerns which every foreign investor expresses about every country in which he invests in. I think there are no more concerns about investing in India than say there are about investing in Brazil or investing in Argentina or investing in Slovenia or Slovakia. I think one must take these concerns in stride. And if there are legitimate concerns, one must deal with these concerns and remove these apprehensions."
