I know this car typically doesn't generate interest quite like the V12 Group C Jaguars but I was personally taken aback by how powerful and raw this turbocharged 3.5L Rover V6 sounded. Before going to the Spa Classic 2024 I didn't even know Jaguar built this V6 car in between the V12-powered XJR-9 and XJR-12. It wasn't very succesful due to reliability issues and with the imminent 3.5L N/A rule change for 1991, it made sense why it was quickly abandoned. During its 2 seasons in the World Sportscar Championship, it did manage to secure 1 win.
Still, as with any Group C car that might not have been hugely succesful, they are still incredibly impressive to whitness today as Group C1 cars are absolute monsters in general. This car only weighed the minimum rquired 900kg so with the Metro-derived Rover V6 with added Garett turbochargers producing 750 horsepower, the car was capable of reaching speeds up to 369kph. Those numbers are still crazy by today's standards.
