PURE LUCK, I was BLESSED by the god of curling bomb for 1 microsecond. I don´t know how. I have not words, I.... it just happened. The one in the back; A combo with two curling bombs without me noticing this.
I really didn´t notice this combo until I reviewed like 10 times. The first time I just saw it and I find it cool to have a 3 splats combo and using a curling bomb (For my Random curling bombs splats compilations); then I look that I could see only two opponents splatted in front of me. I was confused for a moment and I thought, "I have three and I see two, WHERE is the third one?". I rewinded a couple of times and I didn´t see it.
THEN I search for the weapon each one of the opponent used. I noticed the 0.52 gal was not the one of the two splatted at the end. Then I reviewed and noticed that the 0.52 gal specific opponent have just ignored me and pass through. I have a theory, as explained on this video, that in a totally random curling bomb that I threw just a moment before the Splashdown and then that curling bomb bounced twice so it went behind me, where the opponent was heading, and then it miraculously splatted that opponent. SO, In theory, I have a combo with 1 splatted with curling bomb, 1 splatted with shots and then other one with a curling bomb, all in a span of 8 seconds [That has to be impressive in some capacity].
Sorry for the long theory of this video; but I just wanted to say how I see what happened. It is just a theory what I present here. I am not certain if it was the case. I doubt the 0.52 Gal one followed me after the splashdown I made and then somehow didn´t splat me and then got splatted by my curling bomb. It must have happened in the area where I show the theory of this video.
I usually write long explanation of when I recorded this and how, but now I will go short because this gameplay just got me with the mouth open. Ok, so this is footage from january, S+ rank rainmaker, recorded with the nintendo switch in hand held mode at 30fps. I edited it with openShot video editor (LOL I used a lot of rewind on this video, just to see how it looks like) and I used inkscape for the thumnail image and drawing many red circles in the video.
NOTE: IF YOU USE OPENSHOT video editor with gameplay you recorded on the nintendo switch with its record funcion; WHEN YOU use Backward speed, It has a problem and shows unintentional flickering (random blackscreen). TO FIX it you better export the entire 30 sec clip you want to have a backward speed to a format you will use; or you can aslo export it to the same format of a HD youtube quality. Then use that file and work with this on your video and it will not have the flickering black screen anymore. I really don´t know how many people uses OpenShot video editor and also see this video, But I hope it helps someone who has the same problem.
Thats all, I hope you find this as interesting or as funny as I did. I was just amazed on the pure luck the curling bomb can have. If i ever so good to the point of pulling up things like this on purpose, I may consider quitting my job and play splatoon professionally. LOL, I don´t think it will ever happen but I also hope to have MORE random impressive curling bomb splats, like the one of this video.
