Making 3D Mandala Decoration Using Hybrid CNC & Laser | In the Labs Vectric | FREE CNC Projects

Описание: After being inspired by artwork, tattoos and house decorations Olly wanted to see if he could create his own Mandala using the software and CNC machine. Once he started thinking about it the laser also came to mind to add a darkened finish in the v-carved areas to make it really stand out and bring out all the detail for everyone to see. And that is how this 3D hybrid laser project was born.

Using a variety of the drawing tools in the software to create and edit vectors Olly shows how you can edit and make your own Mandala design. Once we have the vectors it is then time to add the 3D shape using the Mandala outline. After that Olly show how you can project not only the VCarve toolpath onto a 3D model but also how you can then create a model component from the visible 3D view to then project the laser toolpath onto the 3D and v-carved model. Making sure the laser will give an even burn across the hole project no matter how deep or wide the v-carving is.
