This is a short video of highlights from the May 12, 1977 Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Montreal Canadiens and the Bruins at Boston Garden, won by the Canadiens, 4-2.
It is from the film/video collection of WTVJ in Miami and was digitized by the Wolfson Archives at Miami Dade College. I posted it with watermarks; for details on obtaining a clean copy visit [email protected]
Guy Lafleur, Steve Shutt, and Jacques Lemaire scored in the first period for Montreal. Gregg Sheppard tallied for Boston in the second period, but Lafleur restored the three-goal bulge midway through the third. A late goal by the Bruins' Peter McNab was too little, too late, and Montreal had a three-games-to-none stranglehold on the series.
