WIDE ARM PITCH SHOT
The Wide Arm Pitch is a controlled, soft-landing shot played with a shallow, sweeping motion and extended arm structure. The key characteristic is the width — both arms stay relatively long throughout the motion, minimizing wrist hinge and maximizing radius.
This creates a smooth, low-tension swing arc that allows the clubhead to glide through the turf with consistent loft and predictable contact. The movement feels more like a big “one-piece pendulum” rather than a hinge-and-hit action.
Key Focus Points:
Maintain wide structure — arms and chest move together.
Minimal wrist action, let the body rotation control the strike.
Brush the turf, don’t dig — shallow and rhythmic.
Finish with the chest facing the target and arms still extended.
Ideal Use:
When you need a medium to high pitch that lands softly, carries the distance, and releases just enough — perfect for tight lies, light rough, or when you want repeatable distance control without adding too much spin manipulation.
