Learning has never been a one-size-fits-all experience. An image or info-graphic may be the ideal representation of an idea to one student, while learners with visual impairments may be unable to access all the information. A podcast may be an exciting alternative to a reading assignment, but someone who is deaf would unable to learn.
By providing multiple ways to represent material, you not only include the students in the margins but everyone in-between benefits from the additional choices.
