Working on this Naruto analysis has meant a lot to me this winter, as I've dealt with grief and my own family struggles. The story of Naruto brought me a great deal of comfort in a difficult time, just as Vegeta's journey did earlier this year. I am forever grateful to the manga and anime world as a source of both escapism and healing, and I know many of you feel the same. The themes of found family and surrogate father figures hit close to home for many of us, so I hope I did them justice.
