The depiction of the head or face is one of the most compelling images in our visual language. We spoke to artists Glenn Brown, Machiko Edmondson and Gerard Hemsworth about their approach to portraiture and the use of the head as a subject in their work.
This film was inspired by Heads Roll: An Exhibition Curated by Paul Morrison, which was on display at Sheffield’s Graves Gallery during summer 2018.
