On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Aditya Ranjan and under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Officer Shri Lokesh Barange, the Dhanbad district administration conducted a special encroachment removal drive at Binod Bihari Mahto Chowk on the 8-lane road.
During the operation, Executive Magistrate Shri Narayan Ram and Circle Officer Shri Rampravesh Kumar removed illegal shops, temporary and permanent constructions built on government land. Several encroachers were also found to have taken illegal electricity connections, which will be investigated further.
Construction materials including around 50 bags of cement, stone chips, and other materials were seized from the spot. The Deputy Commissioner stated that despite multiple notices, encroachers failed to vacate the land, following which strict action was taken.
All Circle Officers have been directed to conduct similar drives in their respective areas, especially at traffic-prone locations, to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
