Decolonial Possibilities: Reimagining Peacebuilding through Artistic Practices
This course explores how colonial violence, oppression, and unequal power dynamics are reproduced in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and justice initiatives, and invites participants to imagine creative pathways for decolonizing them. Decolonization is framed as a collective, imaginative process that opens possibilities for transformative peace.
Using dialogue and accessible artistic practices, such as movement, music, storytelling, poetry, and visual art (no prior experience required), participants will expand ways of knowing, being, and doing, and explore how creativity can reshape leadership, participation, and peacebuilding practice.
