The Cape
I have always loved jackets and coats and would wear one every single day if the weather was pleasant enough! While I like all styles of coats, the cape would be one of my favourites.
A cape is a coat with slit sleeves and usually has a flowing back. They are made in different fabrics and lengths and have been worn historically both by men and women.
While they are more dramatic looking than any other type of coat, I find them to be quite practical and easy to wear in any weather and for any occasion. The cape worn with a sleeveless top can be used in warmer weather and adding a full sleeve top or knit works for colder weather. Sheer or luxurious fabrics like silk and velvet are perfect for an evening look and a solid colour blazer style can be an office wear option.
