The $785.6 million Budget focuses on responsible financial management, reducing debt, strengthening resilience, supporting growth and maintaining the lifestyle that makes Cairns such a great place to live.

Key highlights include:
• $308 million capital works program
• $136.6 million for water infrastructure, including Cairns Water Security Stage 1
• $33 million for wastewater infrastructure
• $34.5 million for roads and transport infrastructure
• $30.3 million for community spaces, parks, footpaths and recreational facilities
• Continued investment in events and tourism to support the local economy
