Pokémon Rom Hack: Intense Indigo Blind Playthrough: Part 9: Nimo and cycling road.

Описание: Join me on my blind run of Intense Indigo, a Rom Hack of Pokémon Red/Blue where I take on the Aizome region to try to become the Pokémon league champion (and ruler of the world! Muhahaha).

In this episode,

After running a through a multitude of trainers, I finally arrive in Dakkara town.
I eventually manage to fight against Nimo and do manage to beat him.
I catch an elusive meowth and painfully ascend cycling road, as I have nowhere else to go.

Some thoughts on this episode:

On finally reaching Dakkara town, the signpost says levels are MAX at 127. Good to know what the cap is finally. Bit scary to think I'm almost at the endgame!
There's still pokemon like electabuzz using ice punch that just throws me off every time. Electabuzz can't learn ice punch in gen I. Raichu and surf is another one. It makes it tough cause now I gotta somehow imagine if a pokemon has access to move "X" and whether or not i need to send a different pokemon out. Like each pokemon has its own expectations when I face it, but giving them moves outside their moveset radically changes how I can or should deal with them. Not a massive problem, but an annoying one.
Nimo has a solid team, but luckily, I was prepared enough for him. Four strong water types and two strong ground types plus blizzard for the grass types means you should try to play off the secondary types, of which, ground type moves hard counter 3 of the 6. Starmie and Lapras have the potential to be gigantic headaches, so quick pokemon like electrode, Raichu and Dugtrio (Rock slide) should be able to inflict some major damage, allowing other pokemon to take them out if need be.
Bubblebeam as a reward...... :/
God damn going up cycling road is painful.
Got an electabuzz! Good moves! Shits stats. Pinsir has both shit moves and shit stats.... And other pokemon I come across also have these issues. They either don't learn good moves or have shit stats and that makes them unviable.....

Apologies for all the button mashing as I could only figure out how to work this game with a keyboard. 'Turbo' mode ended up restarting my game, so that's why I walk around everywhere slowly. Apologies if it's frustrating.
