This video is a short summary of our 10 day journey through Sabah in Malaysian Borneo.
We started in Kota Kinabalu and slowly moved inland over the next few days. From village walks at Ratau village, to the cooler highlands of Kundasang, and quiet evening walks at the Rainforest Discovery Centre.
A big part of the journey was spent along the Kinabatangan River. Early mornings, late evenings, slow boat rides and a lot of waiting. Some days were full of wildlife activity, some days were calm. That balance is what made it special.
This trip was not about rushing or ticking animals off a list. It was about observing wildlife, learning about local life, sharing time with the team and letting Borneo unfold at its own pace.
Huge thanks to Jeffery, our guide, for sharing his knowledge and looking after us throughout the journey. Also thanks to my teammates for the great company and to the local staff and the Intrepid Travel team in Sabah for the warm welcome and smooth experience on the ground.
