What is Wrapped Ether?

Описание: ETH, or Ether, is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain.

You use it to pay the gas fees for transactions or to deploy smart contracts.

Wrapped Ether, or wETH, is a token that is issued by a smart contract in exchange for ETH. You send 1 ETH to the contract and get 1 wETH back. Later on, you can send the 1 wETH to the same contract, and get 1 ETH back (provided the contract is honest).
