A few days into our longest passage yet, we realised we didn’t have enough fuel to make it to Singapore. With no wind in the forecast, we stopped and anchored—waiting patiently for a breeze to return. When it finally did, we sailed to Desaru, Malaysia for an emergency refuel. ⛵😬

Fueled up, we motored the final stretch—straight into the intense, chaotic traffic of the Singapore Strait. Surrounded by giant cargo ships, fast ferries, and constant radio chatter, it was the most challenging navigation we’ve done to date.

But we made it—No Regrets 2 is now officially in Singapore, and this passage is one we’ll never forget.

Hi! We’re Chris and Jo, an ordinary Aussie couple living an extraordinary dream aboard our Seawind 1370, No Regrets 2. After taking delivery in Pattaya, Thailand, we began our exploration of Southeast Asia, continuing a journey that started years ago.

Our adventure began back in 2019 aboard our first catamaran, a Seawind 1260. We sailed down the east coast of Australia, then onward to New Caledonia. In 2020, we pushed further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we had circumnavigated Australia, uncovering remote and breathtaking places like the Kimberley.

Before all this, we owned fishing and water-skiing boats, but it was crewing in South Australia that truly sparked our passion for sailing—and led us to make the leap into full-time life at sea.

We were once inspired by sailing YouTube channels just like this one. Now, it’s our turn to share our story and hopefully inspire you to chase your own dreams and explore this beautiful world.
