About "Dafan":

Dafan is an eight-track-long album. A tasteful blend of melancholy and rage. It successfully features elements of hard-rock, metalcore, indie, and alternative, amongst other variations. It is a 35 minute journey through the gamut of emotions a human being can experience in his lifetime shackled in the cages of a capitalist society. Though there is not one central theme, the dark realities of a human soul have been laid down bare.

The album represents a confession or (at times) a suicide note stripped from any censorship or restraint. It creates a soundtrack to the explorations of the human condition and its dark psyche. Melancholia and an unexplainable nostalgia strongly persist and become the vibe of the record. It's got a beautifully assembled, reliably high-caliber songwriting which sheds light on angst and melancholy.

Steady experimentation, refinement, and overcoming challenges over the past six years fuels the creative power Aarlon demonstrates today. Their compositions transform complex musical compositions into easily digestible sound pleasant for both the trained, well-versed ear adoring complicated arrangements and “clueless” fans who see it as “simply” great music. “The topics are more or less the projection of what we face in our own lives”.

"There's a blatant sense of anger, socio-political rage which is projected in songs like 'Inquilaab' and 'Vidroh' which speak about the ideal world where privilege is defined as something which one has to earn and something which can't be passed down to offsprings. It's more of an outbreak against a semi-feudal system which we are forced to subscribe to without having a choice of denouncing it.
How exactly the existing notion of estrangement differs from the absolute meaning of the term is thoroughly painted in songs like 'Tu' and 'Saavan' though on the surface they are songs about love and loss.
