Mayon Volcano Update; Alert Level Raised, Volcanic Uplift Detected

Описание: On August 21st, the alert level of the Mount Mayon stratovolcano was raised from 0 to 1, carrying with it a 6 kilometer exclusion zone. This could be occurring to a shallow intrusion of magma, and as a result, its summit lava dome has further extruded. Mount Mayon has been the most active volcano in the Philippines since 1900, and all of this unrest could eventually lead to a new volcanic eruption. So, just how likely is a new eruption with the current unrest? This video will answer this question and discuss the ongoing volcanic unrest.
